My High School
For all of my life I attended the Columbia school district in Columbia, Illinois. I graduated in 2012 out of a class of approximately 160 students, with an overall GPA of 3.78. At the end of my senior year, I ranked in the top 20 percent of my class. For my entire high school career, I was enrolled in advanced writing courses which allowed me to move ahead and begin college with an entire semester under my belt.
While in high school, I took many classes where public speaking was required and I excelled. This is where I first learned about my love for speaking. While many of my fellow students stressed about speeches, I could not wait to give my own intake.
Other than taking advanced writing courses and public speaking classes, I was enrolled in sociology and psychology classes. I now am minoring in sociology and it was during my junior year of high school where I found that I really enjoyed learning about people and public situations.
